The Joffrey Ballet Santa Barbara Theatre reviews
Counting Crows Traveling Circus & Medicine Show!!!
How about turning on some fans and pulling in the fresh, cool sea air, Casino? The Joffrey Ballet, Augustana, and NOTAR were all having as much fun as the crowd. One highlight was when NOTAR (rapper) was playing a very soft trumpet. Wow! Every 2-3 songs all night had the band mixing it up - different players, instruments, etc. The bands mean circus when they say it. The venue was a HOT 80+ degrees F, one down point. They have to do this again. What a really fun time!
One of my best!
The Doobie Bros. were awesome! I always forget how much I liked the songs until I hear them again. Everyone was singing along. Started out with a little tailgating with soon-to-be-friends. He did not disappoint! Hung out with our new friends inside and bought some awesome t-shirts. Took the day off from work and the next day too. The audience was loving it too. Amazing! Brought back so many wonderful memories! We all just sang along with the songs or just listened to his amazing music. It was pretty cool hearing his son doing his rap too. All in all, it was an evening I won't soon forget. We were all waiting with anticipation for The Joffrey Ballet to come on.
No voice the next day
"The best show I’ve ever been to was put on by The Joffrey Ballet. From his dancers, set, to the stage design that changes constantly, you will be surprised repeatedly. He plays a wide variety of music, including his very first songs, new songs, and even his feature verses. Involving the crowd throughout the entire time, with sing-offs, light up bracelets, versus one side of the stadium to the other. It was a night I’ll never forget, and I’m so happy I went to his concert. He had me ear to ear smiling. Do yourself a favor if he’s coming to your town, and buy a ticket. I can’t wait to see him again!"
The set list was non-stop greatest hits from The Joffrey Ballet and Jay-Z, melded together in a seamless way that complemented both artist talent equally. Absolutely once in a life time, would happily pay for the experience a second time it was such a phenomenal concert. One of the unexpected highlights was the incredible film backdrop with the exclusive film made for the concert featuring a Bonnie and Clyde-esque story line. The film and it's exclusive footage was beautiful and made the transition points of the show pass quickly while keeping the entertainment factor high. This was the most incredible concert I have ever attended! The finale video featuring a chronological look at their relationship culminating with footage of their daughter was particularly captivating as the couple is usually so private with information about their family. I say that having attended Coachella multiple times as well as living in LA for years and making the most of the music scene in the city.
